FAQ

Why is Macropace SS-3D different?

Most current attempts to protect 3D image data rely on encryption or controlled access, however at the user end, be it a graphics visualisation application or printer, the 3D image data is rendered back to the original full 3D image data file – which can be exported, copied or stolen. Using the Macropace SS-3D technology, the vulnerable 3D data is never created or complete, and is only displayed or usable in real time using a patented lock and key system to replace the missing or erroneous component of the protected 3D file. The original 3D data cannot be stolen or copied, as it is never created.

Can I convert a protected MSS-3D file back to the original STL file?

Nope. The protected 3D file is incomplete and even has erroneous parts added, plus confabulation of the character strings, and is then is further protected using high level encryption. To access the file requires the username and password, but then can only be viewed or used in a reading platform that can replace the missing components and correct the errors in a complex feedforward random pattern. Trying too hard to reverse engineer the file can also uncover some nasty surprises!

How do I get access to Macropace MSS-3D technology?

Due to the important security considerations, arrangement for access are by special agreement, and the system is not available to download and install. Contact Macropace Products for details.
